
In 2020, the Club’s Committee introduced a new level of recognition – the Service Award.
The Service Award is awarded as recognition of Diligent Service to the Club for a member who has been actively involved in Club activities on a continual basis. The Service Award may be awarded to multiple winners in any given year.
A nominee must have:
- completed a minimum period of three years of membership
- given Diligent Service to the Club for a period in excess of three years

While Rob has held an official Chapter role for more than a decade, Mel has worked in the background supporting Rob with his Club involvement – particularly where typing is required! She has been involved with the planning and implementation of all 11 editions of Eastern Victoria’s “3 Peaks” run and, for the last 8-9 years, has been on the organising sub-committee and taken on many of the tasks required, particularly with herding external caterers. |
| Jeff Searl | 2023 | Central/Eastern Victoria | Jeff has had two stints with the Club; he first joined the Club in January 2002, left in 2015 and rejoined in October 2017. While his first “official” role with the Club was as Assistant Chapter Captain for Eastern Victoria since July 2021, Jeff has been a stalwart of the Club, providing support to his wife Judy in her Club roles and “back-room” support for the Club’s IT issues, as well as support for a great many Club activities over nearly two decades. |
| Judy Searl | 2023 | Central/Eastern Victoria | Judy has had two stints with the Club; she first joined the Club in January 2002, left in 2015 and rejoined in October 2017. She initially served the Club through: • the organising Committee for NatMeet 2008 (2006-2008) • the Club Committee 2010-2011 / 2011-2012 (part), serving as Asst Club Captain – Social (2010-2011) and then CC – Social (3 months 2011-2012) She has participated in many Club and Chapter events, and has organised, led and provided reports and photos for many events. Judy’s contribution to that point more than met the Service Award requirement of diligent service to the Club exceeding three years. |
| Simon Acfield | 2025 | Central | Simon joined the Club in April 2015 and has been a member for 10 years. Following years of background support for Club events, he joined the Club Committee in 2023, before initiating the Club’s iRacing program in 2024 and stepping up later in 2024 to take on the role of Club president. He has made an impact in leading the Committee and involving members Club-wide in reviewing the Club’s activities, finances and overall future direction. |
| Daryl & Anne Guest | 2025 | North-Eastern Victoria | Daryl and Anne joined the Club in February 2019 and have been members for six years. They have been keen supporters of the Club’s activities in the north-east, providing invaluable support for Club Captain Craig Dixon before stepping up as Assistant Chapter Captains for the North-Eastern Victoria Chapter for 18 months (2023-24) and then taking over as Chapter Co-Captains NEV in 2025. Daryl has also been a valuable contributor to mxtra. |
| Sherrill & Geoff Sayers | 2025 | North-Eastern Victoria | Sherrill and Geoff joined the Club in July 2021 and have been members for four years. In that short time they have made their mark as strong supporters of the North-Eastern Victoria Chapter and its activities. They have now been Assistant Chapter Captains for North-Eastern Victoria for 2 ½ years (2023-2025). Sherrill in particular has been key in the planning of the 2025 “3 Peaks” events and the 2025 Vic-Tas/SA Biennial, and is a regular contributor to mxtra. |

In 2022 John brought his decades-long support for the Club’s Sprints program to bear as Assistant Motorsport Chapter Captain for two years (2022-2024) in a non-committee role before joining the Committee in 2024 as Motorsport Chapter Captain. His time in these roles has been instrumental in bring new members into Sprints and developing their skills. |

In recent years he has provided invaluable assistance to the Club as an official at Club Khanacross official and as organiser of Club displays at historic displays at Sandown, as well as contributions to mxtra. |

In addition to providing strong general support for the Eastern Victoria Chapter, they have hosted the Chapter’s Christmas break-up at their Parc Fermé property since 2018. |

While never holding any official Club or Chapter position, John has been a great supporter of particularly the North-Eastern Victoria Chapter, and has provided mxtra articles and photos for many years. |
| Stephen Johnstone | 2025 | Northern Tasmania | Stephen joined the Club in January 2019 and has been a member for six years. He has so far been a member of the Club Committee for two years (2023-2025) and served a year as Assistant Chapter Captain for the Northern Tasmania Chapter (2024-2025), as well as contributing content for mxtra. Most notably he has resurrected the long-missed extended visits to the island, as organiser of the exceptionally popular “Tassy Tour” in 2023 and 2025. |
| Ian Wheeler | 2025 | Southern Tasmania | Ian joined the Club in November 2020 and has been a member for four years. His service to the Club so far has included two years on the Club Committee (2023-2025), and a year as Assistant Chapter Captain for the Southern Tasmania Chapter (2024-2025). He has facilitated local Tasmanian interest in motorsport activities, has supported Chapter runs, assisted with the organisation of the 2025 Tassy Tour, and had made numerous contributions to mxtra. |
| Max Lloyd | 2025 | Motorsport | John joined the Club in June 2008 and has been a member for 19 years. While never having held any official Club position, Max is held in the highest regard by all involved in the Club’s Sprints program – and beyond. His performances on track and his personality and stories off track are revered, epitomising the Club’s well-known motorsport camaraderie. He only took up sprints after he retired, but was Clubman Champion in 2013-2014, and NB Clubman Champion in 2019. |
| Noel Heritage | 2025 | Motorsport | Noel joined the Club in February 2009 and has been a member for 16 years. After many years as a key stalwart and unofficial leader of the Club’s Sprints fraternity, Noel joined the Club’s Committee in 2020, serving initially as Assistant Club Captain - Motorsport for two years (2020-2022) and then Motorsport Chapter Captain for two years (2022-2024). Noel was NB Clubman Champion in four consecutive years from 2015, and was joint Club Motorsport Champion twice, in 2012-2013 and 2013-2014. |
| Alan Conrad | 2025 | Motorsport | Alan joined the Club in April 2011 and has been a member for 14 years. Although he has never held any Club office, his character, participation and support for are well-regarded by all his fellow Sprints competitors. Alan was joint Club Motorsport Champion twice, in 2014-2015 and 2017, and was NC/ND Modified Class Champion twice, in 2017 and 2022. |

Paul’s long involvement with the Club’s Sprints program was highlighted by four years on the Club serving two years as Assistant Club Captain - Motorsport for two years (2018-2020) and then Club Captain - Motorsport for two years (2020-2022). On-track, Paul won the Restricted Open Class five times from 2013. |
| Sandra & Craig Girvan | 2025 | Motorsport | Craig and Sandra joined the Club in June 2019 and have been members for six years. They are a constant presence at the Club’s Sprint events, with Craig winning the NC Clubman Class in 2023 and the NC/ND Modified Class in 2024; off-track, Sandra marshals the return of all rented timing devices and is a constant source of content for mxtra. |
