Membership categories

1. Full Membership

Available to any natural person of at least driver’s licence holding age who is the driver and/or co-driver of a Mazda MX-5.

If opting for the printed version of the Club magazine, mxtra, Full memberships receive one copy per household.

Full membership is required for those wishing to obtain a competition licence to take part in motorsport and/or Club Permit registration for their Mazda MX-5.

3. Associate Membership

Only available to any natural person:

for the purpose of participating in one or more Club activities annually (it is primarily intended for those who wish to accompany a Full financial member on a small number of Club activities)
who does not own or drive an MX-5 but has a personal interest in the Mazda MX-5 and/or the Mazda MX-5 Club of Victoria & Tasmania Inc.

An Associate member:

may participate in events of the Club, excluding the Club’s iRacing League
may not use this category of membership for the purpose of obtaining a Motorsport Australia [formerly CAMS], AASA or other form of motorsport competition licence
may not use this category of membership for the purpose of obtaining Club Permit registration for a classic or historic Car
has no voting rights in the Club
may not serve on the Club Committee
will not receive an emailed pdf version of the Club magazine, mxtra

2. Family Membership

Available to two adults who are the driver and/or co-driver of a Mazda MX-5 and their dependants under 18 residing at the same address. A Family member may participate in the events of the Club and enjoy the same rights as Full membership except for a limitation of one vote per adult; Family members under 18 are not entitled to vote.

If opting for the printed version of the Club magazine, mxtra, Family memberships receive one copy per household.

Family members are eligible to obtain an age-appropriate competition licence to take part in motorsport and/or Club Permit registration for their Mazda MX-5.

4. iRacing Membership

Who is not a current financial member of a nationally affiliated MX-5 Club or Mazda Australia;
Who does not own or drive an MX-5 and wishes to participate solely in the AUS MX-5 National iRacing Championship;
For the purpose of competing in the Championship during a given calendar year.

Conditions:
1. This membership is valid for a single calendar year and must be renewed annually.
2. iRacing Members are eligible to compete in the AUS MX-5 National iRacing Championship, subject to Championship regulations.
3. iRacing Members are not eligible to vote, hold office, or participate in Club driving or motorsport events unless they upgrade to a full membership category.
4. Access to Club communications (e.g. newsletters) may be provided at the discretion of the Club.
5. iRacing Members may upgrade to a full membership at any time, but will need to pay the Club joining fee.

Conditions of Membership

To be accepted as a member of the Mazda MX-5 Club of Victoria & Tasmania Inc., you must agree to certain conditions, including agreement to abide by our Statement of Purposes and Rules (constitution) and our Code of Conduct. Full conditions are set out in our online application. Submission of your membership application and payment implies acceptance of these membership conditions.

Reciprocal Rights Membership

A financial member of any other Australian Mazda MX-5 Club may request that they be provided with reciprocal membership of the Mazda MX-5 Club of Victoria & Tasmania Inc. for a period of up to seven days at a time. Please email the Membership Officer for more information.
