Our Christmas run to Brian & Mary’s for homemade wood fire pizzas started off at Tony and Pam’s for morning tea.
The homemade food was a hit: everyone wanted the reindeer recipe. The little lemon tarts and tiny plum puddings were delicious as was the custard slice. Pam really is the best cook.
We had 13 cars including Santa (Jeff Woolf) arrived in his MX-5 – Ho Ho Ho! We welcomed back Tina, who came along for her first run after meeting us on our last run at Swiss Mountain.
All the MX-5s were well polished for the run, and we started off with a drive up Mount Bunninyong for the spectacular view, then on to new (for me) roads out near Mollongghip … pity about the roadworks and gravel roads. Our infamous obligatory “U” turn was at one such gravel road near Springbank.
Poor Santa was hanging on the back of Graham and Kathy’s car all the way to Brian and Mary’s house and was still there on arrival. Brian and Mary were exceptional hosts and made us all feel welcome, and the pizzas were delicious (scrumdiddlyumptious).
A big thank you goes to everyone who donated a child’s gift for the 3BA Christmas appeal. Pam dropped these presents off Monday and they were appreciated.
Thank you also to Tony and Pam for opening their house to everyone and organising the run, and to Brian and Mary for their hospitality.
We hope everyone had a safe and wonderful Christmas enjoying time with loved ones, and look forward to more runs in 2020.
